Then is used when it is referring to time.

 

For example:

    1)   I will see you tomorrow. I will return your book then

    2)   Siti will be at the party tonight. She will speak to you then.

 

Then is also used to show sequence of events.

 

For example:

    3)   She swept the floor. Then she cleaned the windows. 

4) There was a loud noise and then a woman screamed.

  

Than is used when you make comparisons.

 

For example:

    1)   Ali is taller than Omar.

2) My book is more interesting than yours.
